Douglas Knapp, 52, of Brandon, MN, formerly of Lake Wilson, MN passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Brandon on Friday, March 11, 2016. A private family burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson.

Douglas Leo Knapp was born on August 31, 1961 in Slayton, MN to Richard and Shirley Knapp. He graduated from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in Chandler in 1981. Following high school, Doug joined the Army for two years. In 1992, Doug graduated from Alexandria Technical College where he studied Aquaculture. He worked in the fishery business for six years starting with Brandon Fisheries. Later he worked for Paz Excavation as an excavator.
Doug enjoyed fishing, car racing and watching movies, but most of all; he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Doug passed away at his home on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the age of 52.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley and son, Chad. He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Kathy and brother Joey.
